Swimming in the Etruscans and Romans baths of Tuscany!

San Casciano dei Bagni

There is a very warm spot  just 500 mt down the city center.

All locals know where they are and can help you with the road indications. We use to go all the year long, but in winter the gates closed earlier in the late evening.

On google map they are on a dirty road  before via Roma at san Casciano dei Bagni.

The peculiarity is that the thermal water, gushing out at  40° C,  flow into the baths of Bagno Grande and Bagno Bossolo, and there are some idro-massages on the stones.

San Casciano thermal water was largely used by the Etruscans and Romans and was very famous in Europe later on.

Bagno Vignoni

Bagno Vignoni city is a huge thermal pool, but you can’t jump in there! Try the Parco dei Mulini for a free bath just steps away!
