Fossils, dinosaurs, rhinos, a collections of  vertebrates finds and much more at the new Paleontological Museum of Pietrafitta in Piegaro.

Pietrafitta is popular for the Lignite , as part of sedimentary of the Taverenelle Basin, wich sorrounds the upper valley of the river Nestore in the central western portion of Umbria, south of lake Trasimeno….

Tickets: 5 euro, free entrance up to 11 years old, 2,5 euro between 12 and 17 years old.

Resti fossili di elefanti,  rinoceronti di circa due milioni di anni fa,  una collezione di migliaia di reperti di vertebrati (pesci, anfibi, rettili, uccelli e mammiferi), invertebrati (molluschi e insetti) macroflora (legni, semi, infruttescenze e foglie) questo ed altro al museo paleontologico di Pietrafitta.
