Please see on in our restaurant review our list of best restaurants with menu’s photos, and our personal choices.

And as following some our list for  good restaurants:

Paciano: Oca Bruciata restaurant reserve 10% discount for Fontanaro guests. It is located along the main road of Paciano’s wall before the yellow school. It is located before te yellow school.  TEL. 00 39 -075 8307008 (closed Monday). It is a very special family run restaurant and Pizzeria: you will find pizza custom tailored for American… British etc!!! To try: “ravioli dell’oca”. KIDS ARE WERY WELCOMED.    La Loggetta- TEL 0039 – 075 830144.   Maurizio the owne has roman origins and is know here for a very good pizza with rosmarino as appetizer. He also has a good wine list. It is in Piazza Santa Maria in Paciano, at the mainvillage wall door. He also reserve 10% discount for Fontanaro guests. It is more  romantique than Oca but also loves kids and has a toy are reserved.

    On the hill overlooking Paciano, il Casale – TEL 0039 075 830465. Il is always closed on Wednesday.  I suggest to book if you wish to eat out on a Saturday or Sunday. We can make reservation for you, if you like.   Panicale:    Lillo Tatini, on the main square of Panicale,in Piazza Umberto 1. Tel 0039 – 075 837771. It is  recommended by Slow Food. It is one of the most romantic restaurant in the aera.

    Masolino, in the centre of Panicale, via del Filatoio 4, (right side of Piazza Umberto 1, right down the restaurant Lillo Tatini. TEL 0039 075 837151.  To try the delicious guinea fowl! We love this restaurant also because the owner is a great wine sommelier!

Panicarola     Locanda del Principato tel. 0039 075 9680220 (slow food) Open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Booking is required. A great food and wine experience! Cost around 40€. Not for kids…:) Castiglione del Lago     Vinolento – In the historical centre of town,  a few meter away from Piazza Gramsci,  by the Town Hall and the Medieval Castle. Tel. 3395022178 – 075 9525262.  Closed on Monday.        

Chiusi:      La Solita Zuppa, The Soup expert in Chiusi Città (on top of the Hill), in via Porsenna 21, Tel 0039 0578 21006

    LEFFE  – In the old town, on top of the hill, open from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. an excellent bistrot/brasserie with a wide selection of draught beer and bottled beer from all over.

Lake of Chiusi

Pesce d’Oro, on the banks of Lake Chiusi, Tel 0039 0578 21403. Wwith an excellent wine list: the owner is a professional Sommelier AIS.

Città della Pieve:

Cantina del Saltapicchio, Wine Bar. It is in Via Marconi, 26 along the walls of Città della Pieve, on the East side.

Silvana, Vicolo del Gesù.  0578 298311 (closed on Monday) The best Florentine - Style T-Bone steak.

Bistrot del Duca, Via Po’ di Mezzo, 3 Città della Pieve (near the theatre) tel 0578 298008 348 5337135

And, just outside Città della Pieve, on the road SS71 to Orvieto (150 mt after the Città della Pieve Hospital, on the right side of the road): Locanda della Picca,  tel. 0039 0578 299403.

Montepulciano:

La Grotta  – TEL 0039 0578 757479.  In front of S. Biagio Church. La Grotta creates a balance between traditional Tuscan cooking and a passion for culinary innovation. Really one of the best!

Cortona:

Osteria del Teatro, Via Maffei, 0575 630556 (closed on Wednesday). A very special welcome to all Fontanaro’s guests. Excellent food and wide wine list, with charming atmosphere

La Bucaccia  Via Ghibellina, 17   tel 0575 606039 is,  first of all a real typical restaurant, where Cortonese and Tuscan cuisine are celebrated every day. Book also to have a cheese making demonstration.

Orvieto:

Duca di Orvieto It is located in Via della Pace, 5  TEL 0039  0763 344663 (closed on Wensday and Sunday evening)

Trattoria Dell’Orso, Via della Misericordia 16/18, TEL 00 39 0763 341642  (closed Monday and Tuesday). A very special welcome to all Fontanaro’s guests. This is the best of Orvieto for us.
